Best ever exam results for Blessed Hugh Faringdon Catholic School
A level results
97% pass rate for all candidates, with 33% achieving Grades A*-B.
Nearly all students are moving onto University with a small number starting work.
GCSE and BTEC results
The percentage of pupils achieving 5 or more grades A* to C or equivalent was 81%. This is an astounding and fantastic result and is an improvement of 19% on the previous year.
The percentage of pupils achieving 5 or more grades A* to C or equivalent including A*-Cs in English and Maths was 33%.
Headteacher John Casey said “These are truly excellent results for the school and fully deserved. I offer my congratulations to students and staff alike on this fantastic achievement. It shows what can be achieved when everyone pulls together.
Everyone has worked exceptionally hard this year and the A level and GCSE results show that the efforts of everyone have paid off. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work - well done everybody.
Our students can now go onto the next stage of their education and that is something that school is rightly very proud of. The students are a credit to themselves, their families and the school and I am very proud of them all.”
Year 9 and 10 students that are due to receive results for Science or Maths modules will be able to collect their results on the first day of term at lunchtime from the main hall.
RETURN TO SCHOOL
Students in Years 7 and 12 will start the new school year on Tuesday 7th September and should arrive in time for 8.40am start.
Students in Years 8, 9 ,10 and 11 will return to school on Tuesday 7th September and must arrive in time for an 11.00am start.
Students in Year 13 will return to school on Wednesday 8th September at 8.40am
